Are you 100% sure?
How to Know 100% for Sure You Will Go to Heaven
What will happen to you after you die and where will you go?
The world continues forward in progress and discovery, but the eternal questions remain. ‘What’s the purpose of life?’ ‘Is there life after death?’ The Bible is clear about this and gives us the roadmap to Heaven. Please allow me some time to explain this from the Bible and then you to can know the Scriptural answer to eternity.
Really, there are four things you need to know from the Bible in order to have an eternal home with God. He wants you to know these things and has outlined them clearly, especially in the Book of Romans. Allow me to share them with you.
We must realise that we have sinned.
Romans 3:10 tells us ‘As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.’ A righteous man always does right. There is not a person on planet earth who does right all of the time, including the one who is typing this.
Romans 3:23 says, ‘For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.’ Everyone has sinned in some way. Our problem is that we like to compare ourselves with others and think that we are not so bad. But we will not be judged for other people’s sins but our own.
Would you be willing to admit that you have sinned? Have you lived a perfect life? Let’s be honest and face the fact that we have disobeyed God in some way. A lie is a lie no matter how you slice it. We have all sinned.
We must realise that there is a penalty for sin.
If I break the laws of this land then I must face the penalty. We all realise this. If I sin against God’s law, then I must also face His penalty.
Romans 6:23, the first part of the verse says, ‘For the wages of sin is death;’ The Bible also says in Romans 5:12, ‘Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:’
The Bible tells us that sin came as result of the original sin in the Garden of Eden by Adam and Eve. There are people who want to say that the story of Adam and Eve is a myth, yet they fail to give us an answer why mankind sins.
The Bible is clear that we sin and human death is a result of sin. The Bible also tells us that there are two deaths. There is physical death, of which we all know, and spiritual death, which is called the second death in a place called the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 - 15 says, ‘And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.’ Once someone goes to that place there is no coming out; that’s why it’s spiritual death.
Truly the Bible teaches that there is a hell and sinners will go there someday. I know that the doctrine of hell isn’t popular in our liberal, politically correct culture, but it is Biblical and must not be ignored.
God scripturally cannot make an exception for anyone. If He did, then He would cease to be the righteous judge of the universe, and He will never cease from being that. If we have sinned at all, then we will face the full penalty of God’s law. And we have all sinned.
Yet there is hope, so read on…
We must realise that Christ took our penalty upon Himself.
As I enter into this, I would like to point out the fact that if our sins were not so severe before God, then why would God send His Son to pay such an awful price on the cross for our sins?
The Bible tells us that God sent His Son for us because He loves us and wants us with Him in heaven some day.
Romans 5:8 ‘But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’ Christ died for us on the cross. He took our life’s sinful debt on Himself on the cross 2,000 years ago. He paid the full price for our sins and He is the source of eternal forgiveness before God. Not only did He die and shed His precious blood, but He arose from the grave three days later.
I can personally testify that Christ provides us forgiveness and cleansing. He came into my life nearly 30 years ago and has saved and changed me. Now I sing His praises and love His name. Truly He is our Lamb of God, our Sacrifice, our Healer. He is our All in All.
Lastly, we must repent and put our trust in Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and our only hope for Heaven and He will save us 100%.
If you want forgiveness with God, you can have it. It is freely given through the cross of Jesus. Turn to Jesus and trust Him only as your hope for Heaven, and He will forgive you, cleanse you and give to you the wonderful gift of eternal life.
The final part of Romans 6:23 tells us, ‘But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’ Eternal Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned; it can only be accepted by faith.
Romans 10:9 - 13 ‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’
All you simply need to do is turn from whatever you are trusting for heaven and put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and only hope for heaven. You must come to Him for forgiveness and cleansing. He will receive you if you will come to Him by faith. I did and He received me. It is wonderful to know that God will receive us if we will simply come to Him with repentance and faith.
Just pray this to our Lord Jesus Christ and mean it in your heart, ‘Dear Lord Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I deserve judgment and hell from God for my sins; but I believe that you shed your blood and died on the cross for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my life today to eternally save me. Thank you, dear Jesus for saving and forgiving me. Amen.’
If you just prayed to the Lord and asked Him to save and forgive you, then you are forgiven by God and now have eternal life in your possession. God promised to save you if you will simply come to Him and ask; He keeps His Word. Just trust Him. He will see you through. Praise God for your decision which was the right one!
I would truly love to know of your personal decision for Christ. Also, if you live in our area, it would be great if you would visit our church on Sunday. We are a simple Bible and Christ-centred church with a desire to love, worship and serve our Lord as we prepare for eternity to be with Him.
May God bless you in your journey through life.
